To connect or fix objects: e.g. locking handles, taps, seatposts<\/p>\n<p>2. To adjust distances: e.g. to adjust the L\/H limiting screw of a transmission.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of size, screws can be divided into bolt and screw. Bolts are larger in diameter and have a higher load force. Screws are smaller in diameter and have a smaller load capacity. I will continue to refer to them as screws for the sake of clarification.<\/p>\n<h2>Classification of screws.<\/h2>\n<p>1. right thread, left thread (can also be called as clockwise \/ counter, forward \/ reverse, clockwise \/ counterclockwise direction).<\/p>\n<p>Those that turn clockwise are right threads, and vice versa are left threads. The only reverse threads currently used on bicycles are the five-way BB and pedals, which are the only two places where reverse threads are used.
